2003 Renault Scenic starts up then cuts out

wen started up first thing in morning it will start up ok but wen you stop then start it up again revs die and it cuts out so you have to keep revs on as if choke is not working

Check / replace engine coolant temperature sensor as that affects the start up from cold until the engine reaches running temp .
