Electric window o/s will not close

Hi All

can anyone help, no problem with window till this morning,went out opened window fine by switch, and when wonting to closed no response from switch, did close window by pushing up with hand on glass, will again operate on switch to open but will not close on switch,is there a fuse or relay which control this. would be most grateful for any help to locate and fix problem. Cheers.

It maybe the window mechanism if you remove the door card and check it.

Try swapping switches and eliminate that possible cause.

If swapping the Switchs cures the problem for the Window I would then open the faulty switch unit carefully and you may find it is a contact issue within the unit. You may be able to resolve a contact issue by studying what should happen for the unit to work and adjusting the contacts lightly as I did recently with an Octavia.
