2000 Renault Scenic removal of rear seats - stuck

Car: Renault Scenic
Year: 2000
Categories: Leaks & Noises
hi I have removed all three of the back seats form my scenic and moving them so there is just two in the back but closer. one has gone in fine but the other one has got stuck. only one side of the seat has locked into the base of the car. I can now not remove it or fix the other side of it down - meaning the seat it now unsafe to use.

any advice, I tried releasing the handle as normal but this just flaps, Ive moved the seat into different position but nothing

On SOME models the red lever had to be unlocked to put the seats back in position.

right been back out and tried again couldn't get to red latches as are under seat............... BUT with a bit more brute force (as much as my 8.9stone body would allow) Moving the chair back and forward on the runners while pulling release lever and generally pulling chair as hard as I could ..... it released and is now 'safely' back in the car with child seat fitted - my husband will never need to know I couldn't do it!!!! easy when you know how ;)
