2005 Renault Scenic car won't start

Help !!! Put key fob in ignition , press button , nothing happens ? When key removed car won't lock etc , and there's a loud high pitch noise from engine . If I disconnect battery , then connect again key works , noise goes away but car still does not start , then it all happens again ! Any ides please ....

No , there's nothing ... Lights , stereo work ,

could be a starter fault or even the key may be faulty or not being read.

When the key goes in , dashboard tells me to start ?

Could be battery , try a jump start or charge battery .

I would charge the battery.Jump starts can cause problems.I.e ecu spikes

Also check fuses for starter circuit and check earth from battery to gearbox and body
