When I am driving it comes up with check gearbox

Would be advisable to get it checked / scanned , might just be something simple like oil level .

Yeah check you have not lost oil through the near side drive shalft bellows as they are common for leaking.

Thanks, when I start the car it stated oil level ok. I s there any oil level to check.

The `oil level ok` that comes up on starting, is engine oil. You need to check gearbox oil level manually.

On that car you are better to get the garage to check it out , especially if it's an auto box .
