2001 Renault Scenic new gear box

I am looking to sell my car however it needa new gear box. As the car has done 99,000 miles and does not go into 5th gear is it beneficial to get a new gear box before selling or ask for a reduced price because of the box? I would like to put it in part ex for Renault Megane Scenic but don't think any garage would take it from me.
