THE CAR RUNS VERY WELL NO OVER HEATING OF ANY KIND
TEMP' IS STEADY AND ON THE BUTTON
BUT NOW AND AGAIN
NOW THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE ENGINE IS LEFT OVER NIGHT TO COOL RIGHT DOWN
I FIND ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT LEAK
UNDER THE DRIVERS SIDE
I TOOK THE CAR TO (BY 2 GARAGES)
THEY BOTH RAN THE ENGINE FOR A GOOD WHILE - BROUGHT UP TO HIGH TEMP' - PRESSURE TESTED
THEN LEFT TO COOL DOWN NO LEAKS -- NO SIGNS OF LEAKS
WERE FOUND ANYWHERE FROM HOSES OR AROUND THE HEAD GASKET OR WATER PUMP NOTHING LEAKING
I TOOK IT TO A
RENAULT DEALER
TO HAVE BOTH A
DIAGNOSTIC AND PRESAURE TESTS DONE
NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND WERE FOUND
ALL I WAS TOLD IN WRITING -- AFTER PAYING DIAGNOSTIC TEST FEE £££
"RESULT OF THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS"
( RENAULT DEALERS -- TASK L ) -- ( DIAGNOSTIC AND PRESAURE TESTS )
CONFIRMED LOSS OF COOLANT
PRESSURE TESTED TO FIND LEVEL DROPING
BUT NO SIGNS OF LEAK.
CARRIED OUT BLOCK TEST ------ SUSPECTED HEAD GASKET OR BLOCK FAULT
YET THEY AGREE THAT THE CAR IS RUNNING VERY WELL
PLEASE CAN HELP AND ADVISE

It is not unusual for a engine to work perfectly well and still have a head gasket problem, im a bit surprized that no one can find where the coolant is going, you say its leaking under the car but the garages still fail to find anything,

put in a bottle of K-SEAL. local motor factors will have it in stock... great stuff. also, is the coolant dropping on the drive inline with the water pump? and was the water pump gasket hylomared for insurance. Genuine water pumps on them only have a silicone bases sealant. this needs to be rubbed down and cleaned with emery cloth to ensure its clean... i have had that before. I take it it was not loosing coolant before the puimp was changed???
