When car is first started from cold,there is a loud ratling noise(like tappets)for a few seconds after engine starts.

Could be tappets till oil reaches them . Depends on mileage , could just be wear and tear re. oil pressure on initial start up . If not been done for a while , an engine oil and filter change might help . Older Rolls Royces used to do the same and clatter away on starting a few years back .
