2005 Renault Scenic press start and the engine cuts out after a few seconds...and passenger and driver window not working fully...please help

Hi,recently purchased the above car, in automatic gear box. Tried to start the car today and the engine just cut out after a few seconds!!! Also the driver and passenger windows is not fully working. It folds and opens fine, but when you try to adjust it by the buttons, it does not go up or down. Please help I am frustrated as I have only purchased it recently.

Do you have different keys for the vehicle? As could be an uncoded key that you are using.If not there should be fault codes to help trace the fault.Windows problem sounds like faulty switch pack or connection to it poor.

Thanks for the reply, There is 2 keys for the car. Tried the car again today and it is the same problem, this time cutting out after 20 seconds. T he problem with the windows, I have ordered another window moving thingy. I hope it will be a straightforward sensor problem. The battery light came on once and hasnt turned on again since. I understand we may need a new battery but can this be the cause of any of the problems mentioned??? Sorry I do not have a clue about cars so bare with me!! lol

No i do not think your battery is faulty,If it cranks and starts the engine okay. You really need to get the codes read.
