2000 Renault Scenic automatic gear box

on driving with foot on accelerator the car reaches a certain speed and remains at that speed and will not get into next gear this only happens occasionally it seems as if a sensor is not telling the car to get into next gear . anyone got any ideas

Check gearbox fluid level.

If fluid o.k could be the gearbox EVM solenoid valve, but you really need to get a diagnostic scan to see what shows .

I have a scenic 2.0l auto only happened twice and both times in wet conditions as I'm driving I got a noise as car changing gear and check gearbox warning comes up turned car off started it no message comes up just seams to happen when it's wet any help would be much appreciated
