2004 Renault Modus won't start - "breaking fault" displayed.

Yesterday drove in ok. stopped. today playing cd in car, tried to start, whole display dimmed, no crank, nothing. Won't start - "breaking fault" displayed.

Checking your battery voltage would be first thing to do or try a jump start .

You will have to check battery voltage and eliminating that or not before getting too involved looking for other faults . Could also check if brake lights are working in regard to display . Also check all battery terminals , starter motor connections / wiring .
