sounds like a coolant temperature sensor fault. it can be telling the engine the wrong reading for the coolant temperature and causing the wrong amount of fuel to be injected into the engine

Hi. I have a similar problem. Starts fine cold but then nothing when its hot. I can drive a few km and still starts, but anything that gets the temp guage up to midway and it doesn't start. When I do start the car (when its cold) my coolant light stays on for 20 seconds and then temperature guage drops all the way down and the light goes off. I am wondering if the this coolant sensor is my problem as well. Is there a way to check it out. Unfortunately I am dealing with mechanics that have little experience with renaultĀ“s thus I need to hold their hands. We already cleaned the TDC sensor but that didnt solve the issue.
