2001 Renault Laguna 1.9hatch
Car: Renault Laguna
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.9hatch
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
Dashboard lights come on whilst travelling (generally when cornering). This has no effect on performance.
Have had new battery fitted but this has not cured problem.
Can find no loose connections at battery terminals or fuse box terminals.

Have tried adjusting dimmer switch, no difference.
Driven at night with headlights and air con on, still same prob with dash board lights but headlights do not dim.
So problem again, whilst driving dashboard lights momentarily go off, needles drop to zero, then all dash lights come on with needles at zero then everything returns to normal. At night headlights are not effected and there is no effect on performance.
Any other suggestions ?

Dashboard lights.
I think I have found the cause, as unlikely as it may seem.
It would appear that I have a faulty fuel sensor, I have been running recently on a low fuel policy. Don't use the car much these days, today I put more fuel in and the problem appears to have disappeared! Could the sensor be 'shorting out' at low fuel? Would explain why the problem only occured when fuel was slushing about when low.
Any thoughts?
