1998 Renault Laguna heater stays hot

normal temp when car is running but heater will not go cold or cool, it stays hot. water topped up ok.

hi my advise and guess would be something to do with your heater matrix. i had the same problem but in reverse with my old laguna. if you can get to the matrix just replace it. you can attempt to get a second hand one from your scrappy and also i found it very easy to fit. just a matter of a couple of bolts and 2 pipes.

you dont say if your car has normal heating or climate control(digital panel) if normal panel or heating then i suspect the cable has come detached from either the panel or the heater box but if your car has climate control then 80% chance the temperature flap motor has failed
