Loses Power

2000 Renault Laguna 1.8 16Valve Sport

After starting the car and driving off after around 15 20 min the car loses power rev go down it does not stall but after pressing the cluth the revs come back up but if you try to increase the revs above 3000rpm its falters again then it disappears and does this 4 or 5 times then it clears

Sounds like plug leads? have you checked them?

i had the same fault after it made me mad i found it to b the coil sorted now no probs

I have the same issue - what do you exactly mean with the " coil " - which part was it exactly.

I experienced the same issue - it was a problem with the catalyst (blocked). This blocked the gas-emission which led to the loss of power and the valve-noise (ticking).
