2002 Renault Laguna car is sitting low - drivers side rear

Has the above problem and when I go over a bump I get a knock from the rear of the car, when on a smooth road the car is fine. On this same side the suspenion bush rubber is worn - could this be the cause of the knock and would changing the shock absorber right the sitting problem???

Could be rear coil spring / shocker .

Have checked all that and it's all fine, thanks anyway.
