2000 Renault Laguna window

I changed my cars battery and since, the drivers window has a problem getting down or up. When i press the button for it to go down it slides down for like 5cm and then stops so i have to press the button like 5-6 times for the window to go down or up.

I would appreciate any advices on what to do.

sounds like the window guides that hold the window to the motor regulator have worn out hence the window not going down straight and its dragging hence the window stopping as it is going down you will need replacement regulator window guides fron the dealers

You need to reprogramme the window motor, keep pressing the switch until it is all the way down then press and hold the switch for 5 seconds, then keep pressing the swith to wind the window back up and hold the switch in the up position for 5 seconds, that should fix it.
