when i am driving along the majority of the time my car will judder and as i accelerate it will just rev but wont go.yesterday i rolled down my street with no acceleration at all just breaking and it redlined on its own, i had to quickly turn the engine off then back on to get it back to my house. scared me a little i thought it was going to blow the engine. any sudgestions

Sounds as if you have a couple of faults .When it just revs and won't go , could be clutch slipping . For other fault with engine check this out ,

I had a machanic come out and drive it, he said there was plenty left on the clutch he then advised me to take it and have a computer plugged in to see if there is a fault with the electrics. I have done what he said and when they plugged it in a fault came up but went off before anybody could read it. He un-plugged it then plugged it back in again and still no fault is coming back up. A little strange dont you think. ALSO when its stationary and you rev it, an electrical type of sound comes on. I cant tell if its comming from the engine or somewhere within the dashboard. A bit rubbish realy only had the car just under 2 months it was running sound when i bought it. The car is still at the garage at the mo but i dont think they have a clue.
