2005 Renault Laguna handbrake wont release

Car: Renault Laguna
Year: 2005
Variant: 2.0 petrol dynamique
Categories: Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres
only had the car 3 weeks, but one Sunday the auto hand brake just wouldn't release, it was a very hot day, and later in the evening it was ok. luckily it was on my driveway and not in the middle of the road!!
Any suggestions?

Really best to get rear brakes checked as it could be h/brake cable , pistons in calliper or pads sticking .Could be a case of just needing stripped down , cleaned out ,copper greased and rebuilt .
