2002 Renault Laguna heating (climate control) hot on drivers side and cold on passenger side.

I set the climate control to 16 degrees on both sides and the passenger side appears to be ok but the drivers side blows hot (when the engine is warm!) air.
This happens if the A/C is both on or off. The system was re-gassed last year and has worked fine until recently.
Any suggestions please??
