1997 Renault Laguna smell of petrol

i am getting a strong smell of petrol from around he engine compartment , i have looked under the car but cananot see a visible leak , the smell is not always there but when it is it's very strong . Also my fuel seems to be running out faster than usual . Any help would be greta thanks

try replacing the pollen filter if not changed for a while.sounds like you may have a fuel leak 2 probley advisable to bring to garage to get it checked
