hi my wifes renault laguna has suddenly became a nightmare to drive the gear change is very stiff even when car not running she is nipping my head big time can anyone please give any idea what is wrong and a possible cure thanks in advance

suspect either gear stick bushes or cables/linkages to gearbox. disconect linkages from gearbox and move manually on box... if easy then its linkage or cable trouble...
