how do you check the level of the atf fluid and if is low how do you fill it up ? As my auto gearbox keeps dropping out of gear and the serv light keeps coming on. And i have been told it could be as simple as low transmission fluid so would like to do what i can before i take it to a garage .

run engine shift lever through all gears a couple of times dipp box while engine still running note some altos dont have dipp sticks and are sealed for life but i dont think laguna is like this.if your serv light has been on it will record a code in the transmission control unit code reading will tell you the problem
