2001 Renault Laguna keeps slowing down after a few miles then fine

Year: 2001
Variant: 1.8 16v

well every time im out driving it keeps slowing down then stops i have to keep re starting it , had recovery guy come and he said it could be a cam sensor or fuel pressure regulator, coils , and ive taken it too one garage they put the computer on run test and found a speed sensor fault could this cause the problem or im i looking at two different faults

can any one advise please has it getting boring now lol
