2004 Renault Laguna complete wiper failure

all wipers not working and no windscreen washers checked fuses and all ok there is no play in wiper stalk and the dash board button on the end of the wiper stalk still works any ideas because im stumped now thanks

Check this ,
" Just had problem with my Laguna 2 wipers. Whole stalk dead except computer. Turns out that there are TWO fuses that protect wipers, one being the obvious allocated 30a. the other is the yellow one marked STOP on the fusebox list. Now all working fine."
