2007 Renault Laguna knocking noise

Hi, when I turn my steering wheel to the left or right I am getting a knocking noise, this happens if the car is moving or stationery. This has only started happening over the last few days, what could it be?

It could be any number of thing,s broken spring,worn balljoint,etc,the only way to know is to get it checked out by a mechanic.

Sounds live one of the cv joint knuckles has worn, needs replacing by qualified mechanic
