Thanks guys, I'm in the process of checking these areas. Nearly got sick when I saw the price of an alternater.

Dont buy from Renault if you want to save money .Try motor factors or the likes of http://www.startermotor-alternator-store.co.uk/renault-laguna-alternator-425-c.asp
