2008 Renault Laguna car won't start

Hi I have a laguna on a 08 plate I've taken the card reader out because it wunt start I've greased the connector an put it together the car started once now I put the key in an it says turn wheel an push start an ther is a clicking noise cuming from the steering column can eny1 help me please I'm at a loss with it

could be a relay clicking or the ignition lock itself clicking.Have you checked your battery voltage?

Ye iv put a new battery on the car I forgot 2 say every time I press the stat button u can hear the steering lock come on an go off an then it clicks about 4 times an just says tern wheel an push start

i take it you can turn the steering fully in both directions. I am wondering if thereis a steering wheel angle sensor that is playing up so no movement of the wheel is seen by ecu

worth a try .unless removal of the steering wheel is required! Dont go messing with airbags if unsure of what you are doing
