1997 Renault Laguna heater not working

during the winter could not get warm/hot air ,this has been sorted.now i cannot get cool/cold air, does the system need a recharge of the a/c system? (had new hot/cold air cable fitted, could the air control flaps not operating correctly?)

If the system has not been recharged for a few years, then it could well need doing now.
