2000 Renault Laguna hole in sump drove for 2mins after bang car stalled wont start

I drove over a big hole in a farm track full of water heard a bang under front of car drove for 2 mins back to house car stalled found hole in sump with all oil dripping out.im repairing sump now with supafix chemical metal. However car wont turn over(was told it should turn over even with sump off) to see if engine was ok.dose the laguna have a safety cut off if oil pressure got that low or should i prepare myself for the worst

Your mistaken,the car didn't stall,the engine siezed!!
So even if your chemical solution sealed the hole,doubtful,the mains and big end bearings are probably shot through to the backing steel.
And if you could get ti to turn over and start it's only a matter of time before it locks up or sounds like a 70's diesel engine.
