my emissions light has just come on and i`m not sure what to do and is it bad to drive the car while this light is on

if the exhaust sounds fine (not blowing)its prob gonna be a faulty lambda sensor , but id try a realy good petrol treatment first but dont bother with the cheap stuff it wont do the job the same
