2002 Renault Kangoo reverse light not working correctly

When reverse gear is selected, the reversing light flashes on for a split second and then goes out again! (Renault Kangoo van 1500cc 2002).

Check reverse light switch .

Thanks for your answer! I have been under the van, removed the "Belly Pan" but still cannot find the switch!! I have located the sensor on the LHS of the gear-box but due to the light flashing on, I assume this is working. Where can the "Switch" be found? Many thanks.

Try bridging wiring of switch to see if lights work .If so , switch fault .Switch screws into g/box casing , could be switch plunger sticking / worn or contacts inside .
