worse case,accident or lot more cost to put right. If it is a front bearing, you can cause damage to drive flange/Hub, and it will off cause be a mot fail. Rear wheel bearing, can cause hub, and stub axle problems, You should really do it as soon as possible. Wheel bearings with excessive play, are dangerous, as this has the driveflange pressed inside it, which is what your wheel bolts too. If it fails, which they can, wheel could come away from vechile.

don`t drive it at all or you will do more damage than good as pointed out by whitinhame

Shouldn't be on the road with a knackered wheel bearing .Dangerous for your self and other road users if the wheel seizes / comes off .

That price is just to give you a rough idea . You may get it cheaper from local motor factor , but make sure you give all details of vehicle to ensure you get correct bearing . If you are getting garage to do the job , they will probably get bearing themselves from their usual haunts.

we would charge about 120.00 fitted for front, and about 70 fitted for rear. our hourly rate is 45 per hour, so is the natnial avarege for independants, that would include parts, labour and vat.
