i seem to have mice in my engine compartment any ideas how to get rid of them also if they chew through the wiring am i covered by my insurance i am fully comp anybody know

Neighbour had that with squirrels / mice in garage , ate through wiring harness and hoses .Suppose you will have to set some traps .Better to contact insurance for definite answer .You would think either car insurance or house insurance should cover this .But with all the loopholes / exemptions nowadays , who knows .

re mice problems, hang mothballs in little bags you get with persil capsules under bonnet and or in car to rid it of mice.
