Hi. I have fitted a new thermostat and housing to my van. I have bled the system so there is no air in it. When I have started van I have hot air blowing through heater as temperature gauge rises the air gets colder then eventually the cooling system pressurises that much it comes out of expansion tank. When van cools down coolant level is normal van can be started and exact same thing happens again. Anyone help please?

Sounds like head gasket , carry out a block test to confirm or not .
