abs,stop,serv and handbrake lights on and comes up with ecu fault 17 clear and check for codes but my auto electrics mate can't clear to check for codes can somebody please help

You checked the pads / brakes and fluid level ?

Yes have checked all of that and replaced abs ecu still the same
