Heater light not going off

When starting heater light does not go off but engine can be started but will not accelerate Stop engine ,restart and engine then runs normally

Sounds like there,s an issue with timer relay would be interesting to know if there are any codes logged,that might point to this.

i was thinking of a plug (heater) problem

Used to have trouble on that model with corrosion/wiring problems in the junction box on the LH inner wing, whether that would cause or affect it not sure .

Heater lamp doubles as the engine fault warning lamp on these,
Get it scanned for stored fault codes.
