2002 Renault Kangoo engine misfires/ splutters

Starts no problem in morning but wont rev. Turn of start again and it ok. Drive five miles to work no problems but when I drive it twenty mins later engine tends to misfire/splutter when driving.Sometimes if left for two or three hrs it will drive fine on way back home.

When was fuel filter last replaced ?

Only had van for a couple of weeks but checked filter and it looks ok.
