Hi im new to this and no good with cars so bare with me lol.
I have a renault kangoo van 54 plate dci 1.5,
I service this myself with my dad as he knows how to service.
The problem has only started today but as im setting of in 1st gear the van is sluggish and produces black smoke, and same in 2nd gear. when im in 3rd it takes a while to build up speed and doesnt feel like it has alot of power. still a little smoke in 3rd havnt managed to get into 4th or 5th as i dont dare due to this happening. any help would be deeply appreciated!

Check / clean EGR valve .
