Rear wheel bearing

i want to change the rear wheel bearings how do i get the drum of to enable this.i got the nut off but drum does not want to come off.pete

what happens is the bearing usually gets stuck on the stub axle usually you can put a slide hammer onto drum and it pulls drum off obviously with handbrake off the only trouble with this is sometimes it will pull the linings off the shoes,i cant remember the setup but on the peugeots you can hit the stub axle i.e the bit that the nut goes on out through the back which then slides out of the bearing
