2001 Renault Kangoo wont start

I have a problem starting my van it goes to start but just makes a clicking sound where the fuse box is right where there are relays.A little while ago it would shudder when driving the speedo wouldnt work then all a sudden it would clear speedo would work and shudder would go wondering if this has led to it not starting.

You need to see if u are getting pwr to the starter motor i.e. battery voltage at the heavy cable and pwr at the small cable to the solenoid when cranking,if you are not getting pwr.then possibly the relay is not switching the voltage. This is the first step to diagnosing the fault,hope this helps
