2003 Renault Espace overheating

Had the starter motor replaced and the next day icollected it from the garage and it overheated and the audible warning sounded and STOP appeared on the dash.
I filled up with hot water and went on my way. since then I need to top up the reservoir with 2 litres of water each morning and the heater is not getting hot.
A year ago the head was removed to sort out a problem with the rocker shaft.
Any solutions?

are you losing water.sounds like you need to bleed the heater system

i have an 02 renault espace 2.2 dci it over heats it blows loads of tiny bubbles back throw the expanions bottle do you have any ideas
