I wish to check the auto fluid level to see if it needs topping up as I need to rev the engine over 3ooo rpm in order for the box to change up

You will need to get it hooked up to a diagnostic and see what shows .Could try local Yellow Pages for auto trans specialist with right equipment if you don't want to go to main dealer .

hi there my dad has a safrane auto. he took it to have the auto fluid checked. there is a plug bolt on the side of the gear box. not sure where but will be some where near top. just unbolt if no fluid runs out, top up correct fluid through plug, till it does hope this helps
