TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 I had this very problem a few months ago. Eventually the speedo stopped working completely. It turned out to be the sensor on the back of the gearbox. The sensor has a small rod inside that is turned by a cog in the gearbox and this had snapped off. The part cost me about £60 and took a matter of minutes to replace..
