Hi when driving my car has a slight knock and then on my display it says gearbox fault with the electrical symbol light on so I pull up and put my alarm on my car for five mins and then when I take the alarm off and put the key card in and start it it is ok but sometimes clunks into gear then I have to take it back to park and do it all over again until the red light on drive comes on then it is ok please can anyone give me some kind of what is wrong with it please thanks

Nobody can really guess,
It needs the box ECU scanned,
Just the same as when the check engine light comes on when the G/box warning lamp comes on it gets scanned for any stored fault codes.
Not the kind of thing your average Ebay scanner can do.
The only system I'm absolutely sure "WILL" work is Renault Can Clip diagnostics.
