Radio intermittent

My radio has stopped working when the engine is running but when you have the ignition on without starting the engine, the radio will occasionally come on but as soon as I press the start/stop button it stops working completely. ..... any ideas?

Check the wires on the back of the radio probably a poor condition or a wire fault.
