Vibration

Hi, over the last week or so I have noticed a vibration through the steering wheel. This only happens when I'm braking, the brakes are good under braking and there is no vibration through the brake pedal. There is no vibration through the steering wheel while I'm driving - even at speed.
Any idea's - in advance 'Thank You'

Get it jacked up and checked for any excessive play at front wheels , steering and suspension .If all o.k check front pads for wear or sticking in calliper . If pads o.k might just need cleaning out and freed off
