2005 Renault Espace the dash board is not lighting up showning any thing

When unlocking the doors I put into the key slot the electronic key then the dash board does not show any thing the car will still start and everything else works except the dash board showing speed indicators etc.

Check the dashboard panel light switch setting is not turned off .( if fitted)
