2004 Renault Espace horn

Horn hooked up to alarm?

I don't think the alarm is on the same wiring. Is that what the third wire is? Alarm seems to work fine.

Not really sure , electrics are not my strong point .But I thought the horn would sound when alarm activated ?

Not sure if the clockspring (rotational connector)behind the steering wheel on some Renaults applies to your car and would be a possible cause .Might be worth checking or if someone else comes on the forum later they might be able to advise better

Another thing to consider maybe the wiring under the horn push pad on steering wheel .

Does the horn sound before the fuse blows or does the fuse blow straight away?

if it blows straight away then the horn is at fault

you may find there is water in it

Horn does not sound at all. The fuse just blows instantly the horn is pressed.

Disconnect the horn then try horn push.if the fuse doesn't blow then you know the fault is with the horn.

Sorry also meant to say if it still blows then you have a wiring fault somewhere
