2004 Renault Espace tries to change gear when stationary

I have a 2.2DCI Auto 2004 espace which intermittently tries to change gear when sat at traffic lights, in a queue etc. No other problems with gears when driving. Only does it in drive and I'm stopped. Sort of clonks and jumps! Has this happened to anybody else?

could be low on transmission fluid

It's a common problem with the Renault SU1 gearbox (also known as AW55/50) Usually happens when you lift your foot off the brake before driving away. No easy fix and no known long term issues. Be careful not to add too much fluid if topping up and make sure it's the correct fluid. The SU1 uses Mobil 3309 grade.
